The AICTI logo, Certified Mark and Support Statement are trademarked properties of AICTI. The AICTI logo may not be reproduced, published, or publicly displayed without the permission of AICTI. The Certified Mark and Support Statement may be reproduced, published, and/or publicly displayed only in accordance with the guidelines set forth on this web page.

The AICTI Certified Mark

AICTI accepts an obligation to its certificate holders, their employers, authorities having jurisdiction, and the public at large to protect the integrity and value of the AICTI Certification Mark by controlling its usage. AICTI maintains a registry of its certificants and enforces the rules governing the uses of its name and mark(s). If the following guidelines do not address your specific situation, or if you need camera-ready graphics, please call AICTI at 888-IS-AICTI.

The AICTI Certified Mark is reserved for use by AICTI certified individuals with an active status only. Any display of the AICTI Certified Mark must also include the following information about the corresponding AICTI-certified person:

Other Displays of Certification Status

All AICTI certificate holders may use the generic designation CET ("Certified Engineering Technician" or "Certified Engineering Technologist") after their name. AICTI Certificate holders may also use the appropriate technician certification grade (TT, AET, ET, or SET), the appropriate technician certification level (I, II, III, or IV), or the appropriate technologist certification grade AT (Associate Engineering Technologist) or CT (Certified Engineering Technologist) after their name when they possess only one AICTI certification or when all of their AICTI certifications are at the exact same level.

Certified technicians have the option of using Level or Grade or both.

Level I, TT (Technician Trainee)
Level II, AET (Associate Engineering Technician)
Level III, ET (Engineering Technician)
Level IV, SET (Senior Engineering Technician)

The AICTI Support Statement

The AICTI Support Statement may be used by anyone who recognizes the importance of AICTI certification and is committed to developing and maintaining a qualified workforce.

Employers of AICTI certified individuals, specifiers, government agencies, and others may use the AICTI Support Statement to promote AICTI certification and market their company's or organization's dedication to quality and technical competency. The Support Statement may be reproduced on web sites, company letterhead, promotional materials, and other printed matter as appropriate.

The AICTI Support Statement includes the AICTI round logo and the statement "We support and encourage AICTI certification". The size, format and location of the statement may be changed to meet specific design needs, but it must always be linked to the AICTI round logo as a single element.

AICTI Trademark and Copyright Protection

The Institute's name "American Institute for Certification Technology Incorporated", initials/acronym "AICTI", logo, certification mark, and affiliation mark are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as trademarks owned by the National Society of Professional Engineers. The Institute's publications, marketing materials and examination materials, including but not limited to test specifications, test items, examination booklets, and psychometric data, are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as copyrighted materials owned by the National Society of Professional Engineers. Unauthorized use of NSPE trademark or copyright protected material by any entity individual, company or group) other than NSPE or AICTI is strictly prohibited under U.S. Federal Law, and will be subject to legal prosecution.
